Cooperations of biotech companies and universities

26.10.2006 - 23.09.2011 | Innovations- und Gründerzentrum Biotechnologie (IZB) ▪ Martinsried/Munich

Rainer Kreifels speaks on "Cooperations between biotech companies and universities" at the BioM conference "Technology transfer: Cooperations and contract negotiations between biotech companies and research institutions"

A more significant technology transfer between science and business is repeatedly being demanded. However, facilitating a cooperation is not always simple, especially not with regard to the formulation of the contracts. BioM will deal with this topic during this seminar. The introduction will provide practical information concerning the formulation of patent contracts, R&D agreements and spinout projects. In each case from the perspective of a research institute and a biotechnology company, the following will show the possible steps in the facilitation of a cooperation and the formulation of contracts and will present the associated opportunities and hurdles when collaborating with each partner.
